The Bryant Automotive Story
On May 15, 1968, Tom and Margaret Bryant opened the doors of Bryant Automotive, a family owned and operated Independent Auto Service & Repair Facility. Bryant Automotive remains a family business today, with sons Dan and Barry, a vital part of the operation with the passing of years, becoming Partners in 1997.
The first location was at 2412 So. Market St. in Redding. After four years in Redding, the business had grown to the point that the need for a larger site became critical. A new location was acquired at 2345 Hilltop Dr. and the business was moved to that location February 22, 1972, where it continued until January 1983. During the latter part of 1976, because of continued growth, a second location was acquired at 2354 Churn Creek Rd. in Redding. Shop #2 opened for business January 2, 1977. Bryant Automotive operated two shops until January 1983 when both were consolidated at the larger facility on Churn Creek Rd. where they are presently located.
Bryant Automotive is a general repair facility, servicing Domestic and Import cars, trucks, utility vehicles, and motorhomes. Several factors have led them to reduce the number of areas of service. Presently radiator, transmission, and exhaust repairs are sublet.
