Shasta District Fair

An agricultural Fair has been operated by the 27th District Agricultural Association since 1934. The annual Shasta District Fair is the largest event to be held in Shasta County with an annual attendance of 95,000+/- people. The 65+ acre Fairground facilities are also used for a variety of other community and private events throughout the year. These include auto racing, dinners, horse and livestock shows, trade and specialty shows, meetings, and small to medium conventions.

The DAA is operated by a nine member Board of Directors and a full time staff of 6 people. It is their wish to provide a quality family entertainment and educational experience to the people of Shasta County. The annual Fair and its programs are also considered an excellent bargain for a wide range of community interests.

The total of 65 acres encompasses the Fairgrounds, situated on the northern edge of Anderson. Over 250 activities take place annually on the grounds. These activities plus the annual Fair attract close to 300,000 people each year.
